R reg 300 td, 47000 miles, FMSH.


couple of weeks ago I changed the glow plugs because of bad starting and now is all ok. in the past week I have noticed a rattle (sounds injector ish)when revved at a steady 1250 rpm, other wise it runs perfect, sweet as a nut. No loss of power, no smoke, no hesitation on acceleration and starts first time. Replaced the fuel filter today but it is still the same, what I did find in the filter when I emptied it was minute dirt particles, probably from dirty fuel. Any ideas what this rattle could be.

I posted a thread last week titled '300 td rattle at 1250 rpm'. Now it has started to diesel knock at idle speed, but disappears as you rev it. The car has only done 47000 miles from new with FMSH. Do you think this is going to be costly to repair or a simple fix. Are these Depitane diesel cleaners or diesel purge cleaners recommended? would one of these treatments cure it? Your thoughts will be appreciated.
