I am thing of buying a 2012 e350 cabriolet and was researching and I came across a video showing that the top hoses have a tendency of leaking , my question is how common is this , should I just forget the car, I had a sl years ago that the 11 cylinders had to be replaced and very expensive and dont want to go through that again.

That car is of the age that the cylinders will need rebuilding and also I'd suggest changing the hoses running in the top when you install a new top. There is no way to have a convertible without these maintenance issues.
