Unhappy 2011 E350 Satellite Radio Problems

Just bought this last week from dealer in California (CPO). I live in Idaho and nearest dealer is 250 miles away. The satellite radio has stopped working--it is locked on one station (70's, thank goodness!) and picks it up just fine (except when it isn't working at all) but I can't change to any other stations. SiriusXM says it is a defective control unit and dealer needs to replace. Any other thoughts before I schedule a drive to the dealer before the warranty runs out?
Thanks.

I have a 2016 mercedes E350. It came with 6 months of Sirius radio. We did not renew it for various reasons. How can I now receive it and can it be delivered to the car again.

Hello - there should already be the sat. module in the car, so you likely have to reactivate it with a new subscription.
