i was putting in an aftemarket horn and blew the fuse/relay. where is the fuse/relay for this car? i have looked in the box near the booster, the box on the drivers side dash, and in the trunk. i cant find the fuse. anyone know where it is? driving me nuts!

 

You don't have an owners book? It is in there. MB is putting fuse boxes all over the place these days. On the side of the dash, under the rear seat, all over the trunk, etc. Read the book.

And in most fuse boxes, there is also a legend indiacting which is which and where it is.

 

i checked all the fuses in the trunk and drivers side dash. all are good. the paper showing fuse locations has no listing for horn fuse/fanfare/siren.. the owners manual says nothing about the fuses except that they are in dash and trunk. there is a fuse box on drivers side firewall, i checked these fuses, all good. there are relays there too, 3, #002542119. i swapped them back and forth, still no horn. the horn works when i put 12 volts on it from a battery. i am getting frustrated. warren in san diego.

 

all right! i found the fuse! its #41, way in the back of the fuse box near the booster. it is not in line with the other fuses, offset a bit. it was 15 amps. i am back in business. now i can try to reinstall my double hella horn and have 4 horns for loudness. hopefull th 4 horns will not overload the 15 amp fuse. thanks for those who helped. warren in san diego.
