Default 2007 E350 Windshield Wiper Blades

What causes wiper blades to skip? I have a '07 E350 CPO I purchased about 3 to 4 months ago in Phoenix, where I live, and it hardly rains. Nonetheless, when it does rain, it pours, as it did last week and one of my wiper blades started skipping. I pulled over and ran my finger across the edge of the blade. It seemed clean and the rubber still pliable and intact. Only the washer fluid would stop the skipping, and that only lasted till the fluid was washed away. By the look of the blades, they appear unlike the ones on most cars and available at an auto parts store.

With the aformentioned, what should or can I do to stop the skipping? I'm mechanically inclined. Are any special tools required?

need new ones. you can get exact fit ones at an autoparts store pepboys, advance, autozone. the wipers are like 50 dollars at the dealership. they are easy to replace on your car. just 1 pivot of the wiper to remove them no clips no hassel

make sure when you replace them. put the wipers in the up position on the windshield and turn off the key then replace them. dont try to do it while the wipers are in park position.
