Default 2002 e320 wont lock

2002 e320 will not lock. The car is suppose to go over 20mph and lock. Is there a way to reset it without taking it into the shop?

Sure it is worth a try.Reset procedure is in the manual, use the little trap door to remove the negative lead from the batttery. Also check the fuses that are related to the locking system.

Dear C280Sport,
As Ohlord commented check your owners manual for the various lock formats. However, I believe this is performed by using the lock/unlock switch in the dash to activate or deactivate the auto lock. As always, the function page is buried deep within the 385pg manual. Good luck. Regards, Bob

Thank you very much for the replies. I have herd something about resetting it using the lock button. But I will look it up in the manual. Thanks again.
