I don't know if you can get one in the US, but try Rusty at buymbparts.biz. He can supply Mercedes parts, such as keys, cheaper than you can buy at a dealer.

He'll need a copy of your title and registration. But then again, maybe he can't get one for England.

I think I paid around 150USD maybe for mine.

I'd rather get the battery tested on a battery tester. Who knows what the Benz computers might do with a no start condition.

Ok, so I had the battery tested today, and it's more than alright.
Also had the codes checked from a local garage, with a snap on code reader. The following codes showed;

P203B- something to do with electric accelerator,
And there were quite a few other codes which just said "undocumented code" which the guy said didnt matter, and could be old codes;
P2037
P207D
P2085
P2006
P2004.

He cleared all the codes, disconnected the reader, started and revved the engine, turned it off, connected the reader again and re-read the codes, and now there were none. So he said see how it goes for now (since we need to see if the problems persist now, and see if any of the codes come back after a while).

Im thinking simply clearing the codes wont do it, but then none of the codes came back after the retest....do i wait a couple days before retesting?

Another thing they said before checking the codes, is that it could either be the brake light switch (as many people have suggested for the esp error) or the ignition barrel.

Any clues/tips? Should I just wait a coule days n see how it goes?

Thanks,
Baz.
