I feel ashame to post so many diferent things in this forums maybe I´m too picky about these cars. My 1998 E320, with 77,500 miles, makes a 1 or 2 seconds hesitation everytime I push the gas pedal in a stop light. This car only see a street just once every month, it´s a back up car, just for me, not the wife or a best friend. I´m wonder what could it be, it runs great, good mileage, no strange noises, no warning lights, transmission feels ok. What could it be?

 

Reset the tcu,look in the post above about sluggish.

Any codes in the ECU?

77k is when MAF's seem to start giving problems but DTC codes will confirm this. M112 320 V6 seems particularly prone to MAF issues.

I changed the MAFs and transmission fluid and filter when the car has 30k or so miles. MAFs where not working properly at the time I bought the car from a friend. I always do a heavy maintenance everytime I buy a used car. I´ll check the MAF again. This car is always parked. I start the engine and keep it in idle fro 15 minutes once every week . I´m using it now because the armored E500 I just bought is at the dealer, they are checking everything and doing maintenance. This is the fist time the E320 has this hesitation. For me is the MAF, I´ll check it and let you know. Otherwise these W210 are like tanks. great cars.
