The bulb that back lights the temp control unit in the dash burned out a couple of weeks ago. As a dedicated DIY'er I did my research on the site and found out how to change the bulb. (Easy once you know how!) but I ran into a problem!!! I lost that socket that the bulb fit into and screws into the bottom of the temp control unit. I went to the dealer and they say this socket is part of the unit and can not be purchased by itself. Needless to say the temp control unit os over $800 and all I need is a socket that must cost about $2! I also tried the recycled auto parts and they will ell me the temp control unit for $200 and that is still too much to pay for just the socket!
So I am looking for a little help here, If anyone has replaced there T/C unit the socket on the old one is probably worked fine!
Can anyone suggest a solution? Other than find the socket I lost!!!
