I have a 1996 E320 and the passenger front window switch is faulty (middle console switch)
Mercedes is telling me I must buy the entire assembly including all 4 window switches, baby safe switch, trunk release, and mirrors.
Does anybody know if this is true? I wanted to buy the assembly listed on Ebay as the guy assures me it will be fine and that the trunk
release is seperate mechanism then the window switches, etc. The difference in price is $150 for the non trunk release version and $405 for
the trunk release version. My last 7 of vin are J003344 as the dealer always asks for it.

Check with aurora auto wrecking in seattle they have a bunch of 210's maybe they have the switch.

they are online and ship nationwide.call them and they can get it.
How sure are you it is the switch?have you jumped it to see if the window activates?could the problem be in the door?

 

Your car year is 1996. No need to buy a brand new assembly so expensive.Locate a junk yard
near you and get the entire console from there for less than $ 50.
