Passenger Window won't go down, how to open window switch console?
Hi all,
I have a '73 240d and my driver side window does not go down (it is all the way up right now). However, all my other windows go up and down just fine. yes, they are electric.
I do not think it is the window itself (just had it replaced last year), rather the window switch is stuck or jammed. I say this, because when you press the switch to make the window go up or down, it has a loud "click" noise. All the other windows switches do this, except the driver window when going down.
Saying the above, how can I take apart the window switches to see if something is stuck or what else could be the issue? I did try to take apart th window switch console, but could not pry it off, and I don't want to break anything, so any assistance would be great (see image). Thanks in advance

My Year and Model is too different from yours also I don't think a 1973 is a W123 chassis
When My Driverside Front Window stopped working I found that the 2 Screws that retained the Wires at a Wire Junction Block at the Bottom front of the Door were both Loose. They are under the Lower part of the Door Panel.
If you are careful you can take the Window Switches apart and scrape the burned part off of the little Contacts and reuse them. I did that about 4 years ago and mine are still working OK.
