Default 1996 E320: Will not start...

I just finished replacing a water pump on my aunt's 96 e320. I put everything together perfectly with no leftover parts, as I used to work for Benz as a shop aide out of high school. I also noticed that her remote key fob was not unlocking the doors so I replaced the bateries in it.

Here is the problem:

I went to start the car. When the key get to position 2 I here a bunch of relays and such under the hood. I turn the key to the IGNITION position and nothing happens at all.

PLEASE NOTE: All of the electronics are working perfectly. The headlights are bright, the radio turns on, the information panel on the cluster lights up. The car was sitting for a week. Also, Isprayed the driver side of the motor with brakekleen... but I was careful not to hit any electrical parts.

Do these keys have some sort of anti theft chip built into them?
What could be the culprit here?

I checked all of the fuses and they look fine. Again, the starter does not EVEN click, but all of the electronics work well.

Please help! Thanks alot in advance.

PROBLEM SOLVED... It had nothing to do with the key fob afterall.

It was the Neutral Switch. would not start in Park... shifted to Neutral... started right up. Now the car runs like clockwork.

thankyou
