My first post on this forum...

I am taking care of a friends 1991 300e while she travels. the car is in excellent shape for the year..180,000 miles and still strong. the owner spends alot of money on maintenance and it shows...

recently, she had a problem were the car will not start unless she messed with the transmission shifting it a bit off the Park. she had that fixed (as i was told), and the car started fine...

now, i have had the car for two weeks, and its starting to give me hard time starting. there is power, but at random you will turn the switch and nothing will happen, lights come on and buzzing, but no engine turnover.....

is this an electric issue or a tranny issue again ? how to diagnose?
