I have just purchased a 1988 300TE 3.0 it has been running great until today when it started to idle low and cut out. After looking it over checking the spark plug wires (looks almost new), I changed the plugs (Bosh platinum 2), air cleaner is new. And have run injector cleaner. I must admit this is my first Mercedes (Chevy guy) I have mechanical skills but this is no Chevy V8. I tried to adjust the idle with the thumb **** on the cable coming from the pedal. When first started it requires some pedal to keep it started and after a minute it will idle and can be put into gear and idles at 700 rpm from about 850 when in park or neutral. Then after driving and being put into park it will shoot up to 1300 rpm. Is there an idle sensor or something that adjusts the idle when warm like a choke? Any diagrams will help
