Hello, I am a new member. We have a mercedes we bought real cheap. It sat for a few years with a tank of gas. When we drained the tank, the gas smelled so awful. We have replaced a fuel pump and have gone through about 10 filters. The milage does not move we are stuck at 234k. the fuel gauge works when full but when we get to half atank the needle goes to E. today we put more b12 in the tank, she is running very rough and now a SRS light has come on. we really love this car and want to get her running a whole lot better than she is. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

 

It is normal for the odometer to be stuck. They gears corrode and get stuck, I wouldn't worry about that. You can get the parts to fix without buying the whole cluster here: http://www.odometergears.com/mercedes.html As far as the fuel problems I recommend a seasoned Merc mech.
