wont start
hi
imhaving a problem with my '03 clk500
when i try to turn on the car, it makes a chugging sound and doesnt start
i dont believe its a batter problem, because i have tried to have my car jumped but no luck
all it does is make a chugging sound when i try to start it and then just dies and doesn't fully ignite up
i usually wait about 15 minutes and the car will start again, it happen once or twice this past 2 weeks
any idea whats wrong?

RE: wont start
I have had the same problem with my CLK230. I have had my battery tested and its fine. I've still not got to the bottom of it although a few suggestions i have had is maybe something is going wrong with the immobiliser, or the inhiberter switch making the car think its stilll in drive rather than park.
I have tightened the leads on the battery up although they seemed tight and wouldn't move when i put a spanner on them they tightened 5-6 complete turns. I was told in another forum not sure if the voltage is correct but the engine needs 9.2V before it will turn over. Touch wood i've had no issues since then. Could be worth a go!
