I have a 2003 Mercedes CLK 430 and i dont know how to turn off the service message. I got the service checked but the guy did not know how to turn off the message. Can someone tell me how to do it?

 

close all doors and sit in vehicle, put the key to postition 2 where all that cluster lights are on, press the "R" button on the left side, scroll back into the screen where is shows the service due, hold the "R" button for about 4 seconds, you will hear a beep and a screen will show up about resetting , hold "R" button again for a couple seconds and it will reset...sounds hard but its really not.
