please help a/c defroster stays on when I turn off the car???

Angry please help a/c defroster stays on when I turn off the car???
I have a 2003 vert clk 320 and when i turn off the car the side vents stay on which is the defroster, what could be the problem???

1.Defroster on when A/C is on. 2. Fuel gauge stays on 1/3 tank all the time. 89 190E
