Performance in the snow?

RE: Performance in the snow?
I have an '05 CLK500 coupe and used Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22s which were left over from my '03 BMW 330Ci, but still have plenty of tread. I was not very confident in fresh snow or ice. I felt that the same tires were better on the BMW, for whatever reason. I may change to different winter tires next year as it seems that about 2 hours of frustrating winter driving offsets 2 months of fun summer driving.

RE: Performance in the snow?
I have an '06 AMG. Toronto (Canada) received about 10" of snow December 09 2005. It was theat day I discovered the car and it's electronics were smarter than I! The traction control simply took over and shut the car down. I managed to get to work by negotiating level streets; however it was extremely challenging. Later that day I rented a truck for three months and put my car to bed. Since them we have purchased a B22 Turbo. Looking forward to next winter to evaluate (and YES the CLK will go back to bed!)
