DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW RUBBER SEAL BROKEN.
2001 CLK430 CAB
Disconnected the battery and reconnected. After the windows will only go up half way. After couple of tries they closed but the rear driver side window overshoot higher than the rest.[:@][:@][:@] When the windos came down the rubber seal between windows got broken. Have anybody gone thru this nightmare? and what did you do.

2003 CLK 430 Cab Driver's Side Window Rubber Problem
I think I have the same problem. The rubber between the driver's side door/window and the rear window behind the driver's seat is shredding and there is wind noise...how did u fix your problem?

the main problem is the window stop..it gets bent and the rear window will go up too far....then the front window will tear the seal when closing the window. the rear panel needs to come off and the rear window stop needs repacement. not really a job for the doit yourselfer. the part is like 10 dollars. dealer might charge about 2 -3 hours to repair. also it might take a knowlegable tech to determine the problem..experience means alot.
you can just replace the seal...btw too much lubrication when istalling it can cause the seal to slide when the window goes up and down
Or if you dont want want to replace the rear window stop you can just be sure to not let the rear window go all the way up.
make sure to take note of the front window when contacting the rear window seal.
