CLK 430 front seat problem
My 2001 CLK 430's front driver seat has locked in a forward position.
The dealer mechanic says that I have two (2) motors failed, but her cannot get the seat out because it is locked in the forward position and he cannot ge at the bolts.
I raised the seat back to place an article in the back seat. The seat then moved forward as it is supposed to do. When I lowered the seat back, the seat remained in the forward position.
I am now into this thing for about 3 or 4 shop hours with no solution and am becoming frustrated and almost sorry I bought another mercedes.
Any help out there?

first thing is to check the fuses in the truck under the panel, and in front of the spare tire. there are like 4 fuses for the seats. if they are ok then i would try to unplug the seat connections at the seat control modules under the seat. there are other seat fuses in the car under the hood or on the dash but usually the fuses in the trunk blow. you should be able to move the seat back back to the correct postion because the seat back is cable operated and you should be able to put it back. the seat bottom wont move as long as the seat back is forward. it needs to be locked in inorder for the power seat to move.
