I am currently shopping for a 2004 or 2005 CLK 500. I was wondering if it were possible to have the dealership swap out the standard electronic radio for the Command?

Additionally, can the lights be upgraded from halogen to MB Xenon by he dealership?

Thanks as your response will help me decide which car(s) I should be looking at on the MB pre-owned site.

First, the command was manufactured with the car on that year and that option is already built-in so it cannot be swapped or even if it can, it will cost you few thousand bucks which you don't want to add on the the price of a used car which is dropping its value due to aging and mileage. I recommend you to choose a used model already has the command built-in. Don't try to choose the hard way with mercedes electrical system since you don't want to be headached. Modification electrical system on a benz is a risky job if you don't know the expert and not all mercedes dealers can do the perfect job. However, you can modify the Xenon light without much modification from the follow link: http://www.performanceproducts4benz.com. It has everything you need for your benz including in and out modification. They sell a xenon upgraded system for more than $1,000.00. This system don't need much modification. SO AGAIN MY POINT HERE IS TRY TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING IS READY INSIDE OF THE CAR OF YOUR CHOICE. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET A USED CAR HAS EVERYTHING YOU LIKE BUT AT LEAST SOME OF THEM. I BOUGHT MY 2000 E320 AND LIKE TO HAVE A REAR SUNSHADE PLUS XENON BUT I CAN'T GET A COMBINATION LIKE THIS AND LATER ON I FOUND OUT THAT A BENZ HAS MORE OPTION WERE ALWAYS ENDED UP WITH MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES. I FINALLY DECIDED TO GET THE MOST BASIC E320 HAS NO OPTION IN IT. I LIKE THE NAVIGATION, I JUST GO AND BUY THE PORTABLE ONE. I LIKE THE COMMAND, I JUST ADD A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER WITH COMMAND OPTION. NEVER MESS UP THE CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS A WAY TO HAVE THE CAR LONGER AND LOVE YOUR BENZ LONGER OR ELSE YOU WILL BE ENDED UP HATING YOUR BENZ LIKE MOST PEOPLE I READ IN THIS FORUM.
