ABS Problem
For some time, I have had an intermittant ABS light coming on the dash. It could be solved by turning the ignition on and off. It was worse when the car and or air temp was hot.
Just before Xmas, while driving, the ABS pump started running by itself - but would stop when the brake pedel was applied. After about 20 minutes, the pump stopped, and the ABS light went on perminantly. From that time, when the car hits 20kph, the ABS light goes on - of course with the BAS and the other one.
I have dropped the car off with the local fixing guy. After two days of trying to fix, he states - if my memory is correct:
[ol][*]Codes 1401 and 1405 come up.[*]The wiring harness of the car does not match that one that comes up on his data base, so it is difficult to follow the loom,[*]The solinoid that controls the ABS pump - located on the RHS of the engine bay - is not connected to the loom,[*]The ABS pump will run when powered up,[*]The ABS pump will not run when given a signel to run,[*]New controllers fitted dont fix the problem, [/ol]
Any ideas?
