Has anyone had problems with their console. I just bought a 2003 clk 320 and the console lid will not open, but the box opens with it. I cannot get the guts or the box to stay down. It opens withe the lid. I have tried everything I know to free it, with no luck. Am I doing something wrong or is it broke. I have turned the lock every direction making sure it was not lock. If lock is broken, does anyone know how to seperate the console lid brom the box?

 

the top of the console opens sideways with the buttons on the side. it opens up with the latch in the front.
