2001 CLK 55 AMG - Help??
Hey guys... I am new to the benz world and need a little advice. I am considering a 2001 CLK 55 AMG with only 21,200 miles on it. The price is $29,000. Is this a good car? Consumer reports does not treat it so kindly. Is this a car to avoid, amg motors? Should I make sure to get an extended warranty? Is there other years that are more reliable? Stuff like that! Thanks in advance for any help!
CLK 55's are one of the best cars available, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a Benz. Don't worry about Consumer Reports, they've always been biased, mainly towards Japanese auto manufacturers. Yes, Mercedes does have its flaws just like any other manufacturer, but they are considerably reliable compared to most manufacturers out there and with performance to match.
I Too have this same opportunity. 2001 42k miles...$29K. I've been burned BAD by HERITAGE warrany in the past on my 996 Carrera. Is there a better aftermarket warranty?
Or is it better to just buy NEW or NEWER? (STILL in MBZ Warranty FACTORY!?)
Thanks.
