Default zenon conversion hell!

i recently changed my normal headlamps to the more powerful hid zenon kit but to get them working i have to put the headlamps on first before i start the car otherwise the lights will flicker then go out completely and i will get bulb failure warning lights on the dash what is causing this????

I gave up on anything but stock lamps on my Mercedes cars. The light sensor system is not led/hid friendly.

Default xenons worth the headache

I just converted my 2002 c230 with an aftermarket kit from DDMtuning.com

You will need to buy the errror resistors and have the dealer hook up the car to the computer and change a setting in the ECU to show that xenon are present. Then it will all work correctly. This is everything I had to do. You can buy the error resistors from DDM

Hi to all who have fitted hid kits with canceller/resistor whio still get flicker and warning, you must fit 2 resistors per side, plug one resister into the other and into ballast,2 per side problem solved,as one resister per side is not powerfull enough to trick lights into thinking you still run normal h7's ect i have fitted 12 kits into mercs with 2 per side and all works fine.
