just a quick question i wanted to run by you guys..
got my used car from the dealers (still under warranty) with a slight (ever so slight) hole in the centre arm rest. Now it's been a full month and I never really brought this to their attention.

What are the chances of the the dealers going ahead and have the centre arm rest fixed? anyone have any similiar experiences? Thanks guys (and girls)

 

It's really going to be one of those things where they will either try to satisfy you as a customer and give you
this one as a perk, or they will say those types of things are not covered and hope you'll remain a happy customer.
It could go either way. USUALLY>these types of things are not "defects" and they will try not to cover them.
That's been my experience with MB and BMW. This will "test" your dealer. Don't hold your breath, but good luck.
Worth trying I say.

 

I think they have zero obligation to do anything about this - after all you bought it like that. You could have told them to fix it or you will NOT buy it - and it would have been fixed. Now you lost all your leverage and will likely have to pay for it. Try to find one in a junk yard....

I bought a used SLK at carmax, it was nice but the leather was peeling from the console just a few, little pieces, when i brought it in to a benz dealer, he looked and said it need to be replaced....they gave me a loner for a few days and when i got it back they had changed the dash and center box......all under warranty!
