Hello. Can anyone kindly tell me why Mercedes have made modifications in fuel (petrol) pump sockets? My c class pump needed to be changed and the fuel gague has to be changed even though it works, just because the electrical connections between pump and gague have been altered. And the gague only in malta costs 250 Euros, an unneccessary expense I HAVE TO INCUR JUST FOR A SILLY SOCKET.
If Mercedes company thought that there should indeed be changes to the electrical outputs/ inputs to the pump & gague, they should have done so by recalling all car units and fitted them FREE. After all a C Class costs a hefty 46, 000 Euros NEW.!!!!
