Vacuum line help

RE: Vacuum line help
I could use a vacuum diagram myself as the one in the manuals are broken up in the chapters, if there is such a thing as a complete vacuum diagram like there are electrical schematics? The Vin for my 450SLC is 10702412028087. 1979 model year. If you could also send me one I would be indebted to you for life.

RE: Vacuum line help
This seems to be a vacuum line that connects to the intake manifold in a very hard place to see. Take off the intake cross over piece (plastic) that runs from the air mass meter across the top of the engine to the intake manifold. Look down along the side and to the rear of the throttle body and back toward the no. 5 and no. 6 intake manifold tube. Look for a brass nipple that faces straight up off the metal manifold and connect the rubber ell to the nipple utilizing a very thin arm and hand from behind at the firewall.

RE: Vacuum line help
I agree with wilbur1. The line you are speaking of I believe is very easy to disconnect when you're changing your oil filter. Mine was off for a few months before I noticed it. Right around the same time my Check Engine Light came on saying that my Transmission Vacuum element was failing. Turned out to be the same problem!
I attached an engine vacuum diagram for the M104.
Good Luck
