Default turn signal switch install help

Just wondering if anyone could guide me on how to remove panels on C230 (1997) in order to install new turn signal combo switch. I found one 8 mm head screw but nothing else. I don't want to just start pulling and possibly snapping anything. Thanks,

Jeff

Hello BGman, Did anyone every reply or assist you with this? I'm looking for answers with the removal of the colunm. I got most of it out but the plastic cover where the switch is is what I can't remove.

the airbag and wheel need to come off before you can do anything else. you need to disassemble the column to access the combi switch.

Ok cool. Thank you so much. I found some information on how to remove the steering. Such as disconnecting the negative battery cable. Is the air bag easy to get off?

Do you have any steps on the process? I'll be searching but didn't find much on c280 just other cars. Steps or video would be great. This just came up and wanted to do the work quickly. I'm in the process of buy a manual. Thanks again
