Default Tire Size Matching

My 2004 C320 Sport Sedan calls for 225/45/17 up front and 245/40/17 at the rear. Is there a problem installing 225/45/17 all the way around?

Chassis,

Thanks for the reply.

I am growing tired of having to buy new rubber ever 20-25K mi, so if I can rotate them and not be stuck w/ the 245/40/17 in the rear, which are only available in high-performance soft compound material w/ a short lifespan, I thought it's worth a try.

If a buy unidirectional 225/45/17 tires, can they be rotated?
