Tire Recommendation for 2002 C320
I live in Chicago, IL area and would like to buy all weather tires. I may buy winter tires during the harsh winter time, but would like something with better grip and quite ride.
Currently, I have Continental Contitouring 205/55 R16.
Thanks.

There are lots of choices in that size and they are fairly affordable, unlike pricier 17's.
Your Conti Tourings are nice quite tires. If you like them you may consider replacing
them with another set of Contis.
I really like Kumhos. They are excellent low priced performance tires. I have them
on my other two cars right now.
Go to Tirerack.com and input your tire size and you can see all the options that exist
and which ones you like.
Back when I had my 3 Series I had 16" wheels with Conti's...very nice. Then I bought
17's and got Yoko EVS100's. They handles good, looked great and made one hell of a racket!

no_mo_bmw - Thanks for the recommendation. I will try searching on the tirerack site. I want to make sure I buy something which will work well on wet road conditions and perhaps, buy snow tires during the winter months.
redhdlois - sorry can't help you much. We just inherited the car from my father-in-law and he has had it for 4 years and I can't remember him ever complaining about it (he was in love with this car). This car only has 26K miles on it. And, this is my first MB! Let's hope this is a nice experience and make me reconsider MBs as I always did shy away from them due to their quality issues.

I own both a 2002 C230 Sports Coupe and a 2003 BMW 325iT. I needed 205/55 R16 snow tires for the BMW so tried out Kumhos. I am still astounded at how well they perform. The car handles, brakes and corners as if the summer tires were still on the car. And they are quiet on the highway. I don't know if the Benz will handle them as well but the BMW will be traded first and the Kumhos will fit on the coupe so time will tell. With the snow long gone, I keep forgetting to change over to the summers. Cost wise they were very affordable.
