Default Timing belt or chain

I'm new to the forum and this question probably has been asked a million times, but here goes, I have a 98' C230, the best that I can tell without taking things apart, it has a timing chain, not a belt, but when I did a parts lookup at one of the three parts box stores, they listed a timing belt for this car. From what I have gathered in searching these posts, Mercedes does not use timing belts only chains. I have over 140,000 miles on this car (I know, just broke in!) it's not the newest, but is the best car I've ever owned, and want to keep it in good shape.

Your car has a timing chain, not a belt
