Default Thinking about buying a C280

So I have a turbo 300zx right now, but I have been offered a C280. The thing is, I HATE going slow. I have read other posts about buying an AMG or whatnot, but I dont have the money. I am thinking about this:
Custom fabbing the exhaust manifold to accept a t3 internally wastegated turbo, wastegate set at 6 psi from a zx, this way I wont have to fab external wastegate pipes and I wont be running too much boost. Upgrading the fuel system with a megasquirt kit, this controls fuel and spark, and upgrading the fuel pump. I dont know a lot about c280's, but this should work on most cars. I already have the turbo and I can make all the necessary exhaust changes. Anyone object to this plan? Any downsides to turboing the c280?
I dont see why no one is doing this, there must be a reason.
Thanks,
Matt

It isnt quite that simple there man, this is not the correct forum for hard core info you will need.
So now i presume you are talking about a 94-96 c280 with the m104 straight six engine.
I am making all my presumptions on this little fact (the newer c280s have a v6)
You are correct it will run at 6psi and give you about 270bhp, now
I dont know if the auto gearbox will handle this?
I dont know if you will be able to use the"megasquirt" kit on a c280 as it will be very hard to wire it in > if you are sucussful i will use the same thing, as i plan on turboing my c280 very soon.
The exhaust you will be able to custom fab but it is a bit of work 6 into 1 on one side, but this can easily be done.
You prolly wont need to upgrade fuel pump.
Spark andvance will need to be controlled as you say, but i just dont know if a megasquirt will work on our cars (if it can it will be great)
There are turbo kits you can buy for this mollseman (spelt wrong) sell a kit for the c280 well overpriced.
You wouldnt want to go over 6psi with a t3 as it may be a bit small on the exhaust housing side, THe m104 has excessive head heat problems with a too restrictive exhaust e.g turbo housing when making high boost.

I am curently researching doing this same project before the end of the year.
Look at these sites for m104 turbo info www.mercedesshop.com <forum

But yea it can be done relatively easy, everything you say should work sweet, just 2 points is the "will the ecu u want work" and can your gearbox handle it? i think the gearbox should be sweet so the biggest thing is computer management on these cars for FI applications

Just to throw in my 2 cents, I hear you about going SLOW....I came from a Nissan 350Z to a MB C350....
but actually it has great pick up for an "ADULT" car...and in Chicago a rear wheel drive will kill you literally in the winter.
