I'm new to this forum and to Mercedes. I have a chance to buy a 1984 230E but can't find a subforum for either 230E or for W123 in general. I'd like advice but can't seem to navigate properly here.

Hello and welcome to the forum! The best thing that you can do is to take the car to an indy MB shop and get a full PPI done (pre-purchase inspection). This should give you a definitive answer as to if the car is worth investing in.
