Default Tail Shaft Coupling

Hi,

Like to find out a little bit more on the Tail Shaft Coupling? Where is it located & what it look like? Is it expensive to change?

Kind Regards

more than likley its you output shaft flange. the output shaft flange is mounted to the ouput shaft of the transmission it is the metal piece that is bolted to the frontward side of the flex disc. why would you ever want to change the output flange? dou you have a clicking noise on acceleration or a trans rear seal leaking i have never seen a output flange go bad.

Yes there is a rattling noise when acceleration, particularly going up hill. I spoke to the shop, they mention a rubber need checking?

Kind Regards

Dear Kind Regards,

202s are known to have bad bad rubber bushing at the base of the shifter. At high revs, the shifter will vibrate and that in turn shakes the center console.

So...
(1) Is your car 202?
(2) Are you sure it is not the shifter that is making the noise?

202s are not known for drive shaft issues.

Hope I helped. If not, please disregard my post and accept my apologies.
