Need bolt size for Crank Shaft sensor hold down
E 10 is too big.
E 8 doesnt seem to fit-
maybe because I have a 3/8 drive and the exterior torx socket is too wide for constricted area.
I ordered a new size 8 with 1/4" drive. But Sure would like to know for certain. If I strip this - - I will be in a world of hurt.

Bolt Size CPS
m6X16 means what exactly ?
8mm socket --- You are suggesting using an 8 Torx socket...right ?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the reply Mr. Sleepwalker.
Sincerely
Steve Danville
UPDATE: found another post confirming it is an E 8 (external) Torx socket - other post uses just a 1/4" handle.
9/27/2004 ML320 Update. with the right tools it was a breeze to replace the Crankshaft poistion sensor. 1 minute job after you find the bolt. This month I replaced the sensor (that was my cure) and my upgraded fuel filter and lines and Upgraded fuel pump.
My cost. $60, $97, $178.
