If I tapmy sun roof button to open it, it opens ALL THE WAY with no problem. However, when I tap it to close it goes a qurster of the way closed and the nopens back up. It almost seams as though it felt too much resistance and reopens. I have checked the track but nothings stuck in there. Could it be that it just needs to be regreased/oiled? Please help.

 

I had the same problem on my C240. I found that if I lightly grease the rails with WD40 the problem was solved. I was later told by the parts manager at my local Mercedes dealership that a light grease would be better. The problems stems from too much friction on the rail system with the protective reversing system falsely engaging.

 

I think there is a video posted online someplace of a guy that had a small rock stuck in the track and the stealer wanted to charge him $4000 to redo the roof, he took it someplace else and they found the rock and took it out.
