High folks,

I'm new to the group, and new to Mercedes. I just picked up a used 1998 c230, it has a few "warts" but I'm slowly working through them and generaly, the car is in great shape. The problem I'm currently having is that when the key is in the run position, there is a slight beebing sound every 2 seconds or so. There are no indicators alerting to a problem, the car runs and acts fine. When I first got the car, it had a "chek engine" light, I found a broken tube under the trottle body, repaired it, and all was good (the beebing started after this point). Does anybody have any ideas, or mayby a simular issue?

Whats been done to the car up to this point (some things I realize won't be related, but you never know)

replaced wiper motor (stripped nylon gear)
replace left headlight (broken lens)
changed oil and filter (mobil1 synth 10w40)
changed air filter
removed left rear door panel (awaiting regulator)
repaired broken vacuume line (I assume is was vacuume)
generaly cleaned and detailed.

As I've said, the car runs and drives fine, it just has this annoying beeping (sounds as though it is coming from the left dash)
