Steering wheel removal
Regarding my wife's 1995 C180, I suspect that the steering column spiral canester is faulty (Horn and airbag faulty) , and I need to remove the steering wheel.
After removing the airbag, the steering wheel seems to be attached by a nut which is removed by a large allen key. I can't loosen it even using a good quality
allen key socket with a long extension handle. I assume that you can't use the ignition steering wheel lock to stop wheel rotation when loosening the nut, as it will break with the force.
I don't have a workshop manual for the C180, and I want to check that I am on the right track, and haven't left anything out. Could someone please advise.
