Default SIGNAL LIGHT

I have a 2002 C240 and there is amalfunction for my front leftsignal light, theleft back and the side mirror is fine right now,I checkthe bulb and itis not blown, cansomeone tell me is there is asimple do it yourselffix.

hi there is a repair bulletin from benz that has an updated ground wire for the turn signal sockets.this was a big issue. it might have already been done before at the dealer though. if there is a wire from the turn signal socket to a ground screw on the wheel well under the hood, its a brown wire than its been done. you will see other wires attached to that ground also. repair that harness and problem will go away. also if you look at the socketitself you should see burns or scores on the metal contacts. you will get a new socket with the new harness.

I see brown wires but not sure it this is the same wires you are referring to. But, if this may have already been updated, will this harness need to be replace again and again?And,do you have a diagram of what this look like? And do you think it is best to take mercedes to the mercedes dealer or find a independent import car shop for repairs?
