Default Turn signal & Hazard light problem

Our '97 C280's turn signal blinks a couple of times when turned on, then dies. I switched the hazard lights on and it does the same thing. I also notice that when I bang the door shut, the hazard lights (turned on) start to blink then dies again. Can anyone tell where to check or what part to replace? Thanks for your input.

Sounds like a loose connection? check the fuse and fuse box, also there is probably a relay which could be loose. My rear taillight on the passenger side, blinked on and off when I closed the trunk with the lights on, or if I tapped the bulb holder over the bulb is would go off and on. I took out the bulb holder disconnected it removed the bulb and bent up the contacts, now it is OK.

Do your wipers and rear defrost stop working as well? If they do, its your flasher relay. I had the same problem. The relay controls your flashers, wipers, and rear defrost. I noticed when I tapped on the relay the flashers would start working, so its kind of like the same thing when you bang the door shut.

I have the same problems. Could you tell me where the flasher relay located? Should I change it? I have searched several forums about this issue. Some says it is related to 'Combination Relay". Is that the same thing as "Flasher Relay".
Please somebody help me.
Thanks.
