Service B List Performed?
I Have a 01 C320 With 44,000 miles did my service in 39,000 mile... list below>> I HAVE THE OIL & FILTER CHANGE EVERY 5 TO 7 Thousand miles before the the actual service A OR B Is Due. I was wondering what DO the Mercedes dealer replace for service B and is the price worth it, i have read some of the posts cost about $400 to $500. Due to my warranty is over AND Service B is now require from THE FLEXIBLE SERVICE SYSTEM. Any sugestion if i can reset the FSS myself and then have the Oil change in a local Dealer without the full B Service if not nessarry ANY ADVICE>>
A- OIL & FILTER CHANGE
B- BRAKE FLUID SERVICE
C- COOLANT SYSTEM SERVICE
A- OIL & FILTER CHANGE
B- BRAKE FLUID SERVICE
C- COOLANT SYSTEM SERVICE
This link from Edmunds enumerates what is done on an A or B service plus what you can expect to pay. Is a B service worth it every 20 K mi.?
Probably, if you trust your service center not to do unnecessary repairs. I have an independent shop that works on my car and they only do what really needs to be done.

DGW,
I just had my oil & filter replaced, with all fluids topped off and a general checkout for $95 by a trusted local independant European car garage. The B service is basically a suped-up oil change, with tire rotation, cabin filter replacement (activated charcoal type), under the hood cabin filter a/k/a dust filter replacement (paper element), air filters replacement and wiper insert replacement. None of these are difficult to replace yourself. I spent $150 for the parts through an online source (Autohaus) and installed everything in about 40 minutes. My first time. The dealer said a B service was about $450.
This forum and other MB forums have very experienced members who are always willing to help out. Some even have photos and service manuals that they can share on line.
Best of luck!
