Default Replacing timing chain and adjusting tension.

Hello guys,

I have this rattling noise happening around 5-800 rpm. Last month I thought it was the water pump, cause having a temp issue also. It wasn't the water pump cause we resolved that, thanks again.

Checked the AC compressor also cause its not getting cold, I added 1.5 cans of R134 on the system last month and checked the pressure this weekend and it was still @ 45 psi. I didn't loose freon from that timeframe. It's not that cold still.
Where else should I check next?

Now this weekend I removed the top cover to check the chain and the sprocket. The sprocket for intake cam are sharper compare with the exhaust cam. Now I remember from previous posting that this is a sign that the chain needs to be replaced.

My question is do I have to remove all the front engine hardware?
Should I replace the tensioner and in case how is that done?
Also how to adjust the chain tensioner and what is the correct tension.

If anybody can attached a drawing on this section of the engine would be appreciated a lot.

Thanks you.

Maybe you should order a workshop manual with your parts, and use the forum to help with any problems you encounter doing the job. The instructions will be lengthy.

That's my thoughts on this. Others may feel different?
