Hi,

Anyone out there know if there is a manual release for the rear headrests on the c280? They're currently stuck in the upright position. The Dashboard button is no longer working.

first check for a vacuum leak or disconnected vacuum line under the hook under the plastic cover on the passanger side at the firewall. Make sure all the holes in the vacuum block either have a line connected or a blank plug in place. Or , get in the trunk, lay on your back and access the vacuum lines under the rear window deck. connect a hand vacuum pump, pull a vacuum and push the dash button. The rear headrest are vacuum operated activated by an electric dash switch. (make sure the ignition is on aux)
