Default RADIO PROBLEMS

GREETINGS ALL,

The radio in my 98 c280 powers on, tunes seeks etc. but no audio is heard. I have the Bose marked system.
Fuse blown?? If so what position ? The fuse panel sheet is a bit smuged, and the old eyes aren't what they used
to be.

Thanks in advance

I'd check the fuse in the amp. which on my 99 C280 is located in the trunk on the left side (driver's) under the covering. Most amps have separate fuses to protect the circuit to the speakers etc. That is if you have a Bose system. On the system the car is equipped with unless you check Bose onthe option sheet the radio powers the speakers, it also may have a fuse on the speaker circuit?

I always wondered on the fuse diagram what fanfare is? It has two fuses so it must do something?

Are you serious? It was really the fuse? I have the same problem. Which fuse is number 12, is that on the amp, in trunk, or up front under hood? Thanks

Tonypom,
Just replaced the fuse with a new one..thats it. Under the hood.
For less than a cup of Java, cheap repair...
good luck.
