I recently bought a 1998 C230, and i want to replace the radio, but on circuitcity.com it said replacement radios do not work with the mercedes electrical system, is this true?

 

you can get a radio for your car, but get an alpine one because i have heard that others might not work with the speakers. club202.com has more on it.

 

thanks, cuz the old owners were hard on it n the buttons stick, and im tired of it. Plus i was lookin for a GPS so i figured hey ill get those radios where u push the button n the screen pops out, plays dvds, mps, xm and gps ready. But circuit city told me it doesnt work with my car. I was quite disapointed, ill see what alpines got!

 

I blow a fuse and my whole center console wasn't working changed the fuse but now its just my radio that work. No power no sound. What should I do? I drive a 06 c230
