Question about the 1.8L 230 engine
I read this on Mercedes shops forum yesterday (see quote below).. never heard this before and was wondering if anyone has comments? I'm about to get my 2004 C230K this week.
"The 1.8L engine has had major driveability problems, mostly heavy carbon fouling. Check engine lights on every 1,000 miles, have been overhauling cylinder heads on vehicles with less than 30K miles, some less than 20K.
