Power seats not working
Hi all, I'm hoping to get some feedback.I have a 2015 C350 coupe. I was getting into my car this morning and noticed the driver seat was not moving at all. None of the buttons worked. So I did the following :
I disconnected both (black one and a yellow one) connectors below the seat and reconnect them back. Then the seat started working again. However when I turned the car on, now I receive a message which says "front left malfunction service required"
I have a couple of questions :
1) why did the seat started moving again after connection and disconnecting the connector? Has anyone experienced anything like this?
2) did I damage anything by disconnecting the yellow cable under the seat? How can I make the message go away permanently?
Thanks,
Karim

Hi Karim - welcome to the forum! There was likely a short somewhere and by disconnecting the wires, you did a general 'reset' on the panel. You likely didn't damage anything, but to eliminate the code; you'd need a scan tool or to take it to the dealer. If you end up taking it to the dealer, you should have the codes pulled to see if there are any stored codes or if any come up causing issues. Please let us know if you have any questions.
