Review of NAPA Premium Front Pads
This is on a '07 MB C230 Sport w/35K. Fr. pads were producing the low pad warning & I put another 2K on them knowing that I had about 3/16" left.
Threw on some NAPA Premiums (not Ultras) for $45, cleaned everything up, silicone brake grease on the back of the pads & edges. With the NAPAs (Premium or Ultra) you don't get any grease or anti-rattle spring. Used old spring & burnished the rotors w/a die grinder and Scotchbrite 2" pads fitted in it. Did the usual break in 5-6 times.
Result: These pads grip! 20-30% (I'd say) over stock. These things will really pull your eyes out if you bear down on them! Can't speak for brake dust yet...too new
